The team consists of the world's best and brightest in children's education. Sophia Ali Executive Producer Sophia is Founder and CEO of International Children's Television LLC. She has worked for twenty years in film and television production in the United States, Europe and Asia. Her previous company, Sophie Ali Productions, created and produced Kahani Corner, an educational television and radio series for Pakistani children, funded by Shell Oil and the British Foreign Office. The series aired on PTV, Pakistan's most widely viewed network, and on Pakistan National Radio. Ali holds a Masters Degree in Child Development from Columbia University. Jules Fuller Consulting Executive Producer Jules is an international television executive and producer with long experience in youth entertainment programming and music in India. He has worked for over twenty-five years in the UK, Europe and Asia for a cross-section of media companies including Endemol, Turner International, Newscorp and Disney. While in India, Fuller headed Channel [V] India for STAR TV, and set up the original shows for Pogo, Turner's live action children's channel. At Pogo he also created and executive produced the highly popular M.A.D. (Music, Art and Dance), a children's art show that has impacted school curricula in India. He is Head of Special Projects at Initial, Endemol UK. Michael K. Frith Co-Creator Michael is a children's television legend. He began his career at RandomHouse, collaborating with Theodor Geisel (Dr. Seuss) as Editor-in-Chief of the ground breaking Beginner Book Series, featuring such classics as The Cat in the Hat and Green Eggs and Ham. As Director of Creative Services for Jim Henson Productions, he later designed scores of television's most popular puppets. His many credits include The Muppet Show, Fraggle Rock, Muppet Babies, Dog City, The Wubbulous World of Doctor Seuss and five Muppet movies. He co-created and was Creative Director of the award-winning PBS reading series Between the Lions. Kathryn Mullen Co-Creator Kathryn has thirty-five years of experience in children's educational television and puppetry as a content designer, puppet builder, puppeteer, writer and director. Early in her career Mullen joined Jim Henson and the Muppets to become a core Muppet performer. She worked on landmark shows such as The Muppet Show, Sesame Street and Fraggle Rock and Muppet movies and specials. She was a creator of Between the Lions, for which she also wrote, performed and directed. Most recently she created, directed and produced a short film teaching landmine-awareness and safety to children in Afghanistan and a peace-building film for children in Indonesia. Sharon Lerner Co-Creator Sharon was one of the first ten people hired to develop Sesame Street.Shehelped design the curriculum and then became Vice President/Creative Director of the Products Group, helping build the Sesame Street licensing program. Later, as creator and publisher of Random House Children's Media Division she produced award-winning audio, video and multimedia products featuring such classics as Dr. Seuss, Sesame Street and Richard Scarry. She was Animation/ Live-Action Film Producer for Between the Lions, for which she was nominated for four Emmys, winning one for writing. Lerner has also written original children's songs and best-selling children's books. Janice Fuld Curriculum Development Janice is an educator and curriculum specialist who has developed innovative and entertaining educational children's and family programs for 20 years. She reviewed educational content, developed curricula and oversaw research for international co-productions of Sesame Street in France, Germany, South Africa, West Africa and Egypt. She has created outreach materials and conducted research & training sessions for a variety of educational shows including PBS's WordWorld and Between the Lions. Fuld holds degrees from Bryn Mawr College and Harvard University Graduate School of Education. |
